Whimsical Woodland Tree Dwellers
I love all of the odd creative jobs people have for me! All you need is a couple of sawed off limbs.. *ahem*.. TREE limbs.. and then you have a great canvas for magical woodland creatures! This couple from Lansing, Michigan had 6 spaces on their trees they wanted painted with a collection of gaming characters, woodland creatures, and their own pet bunny!
First I sanded each space and primed it with Zinsser B-I-N. I used a combination of BEHR Paint, Liquitex acrylic paint, and Dr. PH Martin’s Iridescent paint (for the fairy wings). Finally I sealed it with a Rustoleum Matte Clear Coat because it’s non-yellowing, weather resistant, and protects against UV rays.
Now this family and all the neighborhood will be able to enjoy these mini-masterpieces for years to come! If anything like this was in my neighborhood as a kid I would have been absolutely thrilled. I have been thinking it sure would be fun to go rogue and paint some trees in parks. Don’t tell the police it was me 😉
