I have the best customers! When people appreciate my art enough to order 3 portraits, it makes me feel like I made the right decision to start pursuing this as a side career and hopefully full time career SOON! This was from one of the larger orders I’ve done for one person. She ordered these pop art pet portraits of her adorable ginger kitties. They have the excellent names.
I do all of my painting with Dr. Ph. Martin’s HYDRUS Watercolors. They are liquid watercolors with intense color and they’re all archival. They come in a little eyedropper container and you don’t HAVE to mix them with water if you want them to burn your eyes. I do. I go FULL OUT Lisa Frank so if you can’t handle it then you don’t belong here!!
The markers used are Prismacolors. From what I’ve been able to find, Prismacolors are archival unlike many other expensive professional artist quality markers. A lot of people use Copics. I’ve found a lot of colors I really like in Copics, but I have since found out they’re not archival.
Is it important to people to buy artwork that will last a lifetime? I’m not sure, but I am a Virgo. My boyfriend tells me that means I’m picky and overly critical. I personally expect my artwork to last a lifetime so that’s why I’ve selected these materials–oh and also ease of use. I really love the liquid watercolors!
To stop from some seriously rambling… I’m going to bed now… You’re welcome
