About Our Float

Artists Adrienne Gelardi & Tod Parkhill envisioned a creative float inspired by vintage holiday decorations with a teal & pink color scheme. The vintage theme is perfect, because Tod Parkhill has created art out of thrifted vintage items and junk scraps since he was in high school. Many of our items have been second hand donated from members of the community, allowing everyone in the Lansing area to play a small roll in bringing our float together. Much of the float is created out of chicken wire, paper mache, old umbrellas, cardboard, foam scraps, exercise balls, discarded flower pots, and other random junk!
