Adrienne & Okemos Coffee Shop
I have been working with the owner, Angela Risk, since 2024 when I painted her mother-in-law’s garage door. Later that year, Okemos Coffee Shop sponsored our Silver Bell’s in the City parade float. I have since painted doors and signs for the shop. Tod and I also built a whole haunted house at the shop in 2025!

Okemos Coffee shop is a local hub focused on bringing like-minded creative individuals together. On top of their delicious coffee, they host many classes and activities. There is also a gift shop full of local art, local honey, thrifted goods, and more!

Bathroom Doors
Here are two doors I designed and painted in 2025 for Okemos Coffee Shop. This is what you get when you give me free rein of the design! The cat licking it’s butthole has become somewhat of a mascot.

Silver Bells in the City Parade Float
In 2024, Tod and I decided to take on a new project unlike anything we had done before. We decided that we wanted to build a parade float as advertisement for my business Art of Adrienne LLC. This was an expensive task, even though we got so much donated from the community. Angela stepped in and said OCS would help! Not only did she buy a shit-ton of christmas lights–she also had the garage space and in-laws with a trailer!

I have the whole 5 week process documented in my art blog here: Silver Bells 2024 Build Blog.

Alien Ocularium Funhouse 2025
This was a dream project for all of us! We designed and built our own haunted house. There were about 9 rooms total. They were full of weird home-made-ish animatronics, repurposed spirit halloween animatronics, Dr. I. Ball, bizarre art, paper mache monsters, 10 ft tall eyeball flowers, a hand tunnel, and SO SO much more!

*I am still working on documenting it all in 1 place. I lost my cell phone on Xmas Eve 2025 and lost the months of progress pics I took. I am going to make a dedicated page with more pics eventually.

Cuppa Sign 2026
Tod Parkhill and I built this heavy wooden Cuppa sign for Okemos Coffee Shop. (I did not design the logo, I just painted it!) If you haven’t figured it out, the character’s name is Cuppa. I love how Angela chose to not have any text on the sign. It looks cute as a floating cuppa!
